How to send a SMS text message using email
Many mobile carriers have email-to-text systems to enable subscribers to use email to send SMS or MMS text messages. Below are some examples from US carriers. Insert your 10 digit US number where it says "number".
AT&T - number@txt.att.net (or: number@mms.att.net)
Verizon - number@vtext.com
Sprint - number@messaging.sprintpcs.com, number@pm.sprint.com (MMS)
T-Mobile - number@tmomail.net
US Cellular - number@mms.uscc.net
MetroPCS - number@mymetropcs.com
Cellcom - number@cellcom.quiktxt.com

On the iPhone, the subject line from the email is the first line in the text received.
